Anthem RC Sign Young USA Talent, Steffan Crimp

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 31, 2024) – Anthem Rugby Carolina announced today the signing of fullback/flyhalf Steffan Crimp.

Within the last year, Crimp has quickly become a recognizable name for USA Rugby. He earned his first cap with the USA U20s in June 2023 against Canada. At the beginning of May 2024, Crimp was named to the Eagles squad for the July international window where the USA will play Romania and Scotland. 

Crimp played for Cardiff Metropolitan University which competes in the Welsh Rugby Union National Championship and the BUCS Super Rugby, the premier university rugby union in the United Kingdom. 

Before beginning his degree at Cardiff Met, Crimp spent a season with amateur side San Diego Old Aztec RFC, which is closely associated with San Diego Legion of Major League Rugby. He was invited to train with the San Diego Legion U23 squad which led to his recognition by the USA coaching staff.

In 2021, Crimp made his first XV debut for Old Penarthians RFC’s senior side after growing up in the club’s youth ranks.
