
Anthem RC Trade for Flyhalf Cam Gerlach
CHARLOTTE, NC (March 14, 2025) – Anthem Rugby Carolina announced today the club has acquired flyhalf Cam Gerlach. Gerlach joins Anthem RC via a trade with Rugby Football Club Los Angeles, having already made his MLR debut at full-back in Round One against the reigning champions, New England Free Jacks.
“We are excited to welcome Cam to Anthem RC for the remainder of the 2025 season. Cam brings great versatility, adding depth to our back line and will help us continue to improve as we look for our first franchise win,” shared Anthem RC General Manager Mark Carney.
More recently, Gerlach has been plying his trade for Thames Valley in the Heartland Championship in New Zealand, winning the title in 2024.
A qualified domestic player, Gerlach was born in Long Beach, California and moved to Rotorua, New Zealand when he was six years old. Cam played for the University of Otago and also at the University of California Santa Barbara while on an exchange program in America.
