Anthem RC (1-1) host the Seattle Seawolves (1-0) at American Legion Memorial Stadium on Sunday afternoon, looking to bounce back from a tough 33-19 defeat to the Chicago Hounds and build on what has been an encouraging, if uneven, start to the season. The historic 39-26 bonus-point win over the California Legion in Week 1, six tries, a Conner Mooneyham double including a 60-meter kick-chase effort, and a driving maul score from Campbell Robb, proved this team can compete. The challenge now is consistency.

Seattle opened their 2026 campaign with a composed 33-16 win over Old Glory DC, pulling away in the final quarter despite finishing with 14 players. The two-time MLR champions reached the Western Conference Semifinals last season and arrive in Charlotte led by captain Riekert Hattingh, now in his ninth season and the club’s all-time leading try scorer.

Anthem have never beaten Seattle in three meetings all-time. Sunday is the day to change that.
