Six Anthem Players Named to USA Eagles Summer Squad

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 19, 2025) – Six Anthem RC players have been selected to Head Coach Scott Lawrence’s U.S. National Team for this summer’s matches in preparation for Rugby World Cup qualification.

Lock Sam Golla, flanker Makeen Alikhan, center Erich Storti, fullback Mitch Wilson, fullback Toby Fricker, and future 2026 Anthem RC flyhalf Tom Pittman all made the 32-man squad. Anthem RC have the most selections to the team in all of Major League Rugby.

Anthem’s Corbin Smith, Junior Gafa, and Mikey Grandy have also been named as non-traveling reserves.

The roster itself has plenty of turnover as there are fifteen players who were not included on the Eagles roster a year ago.

The USA Eagles have three matches this summer. Most notably, the Eagles take on Belgium on July 5 and Spain on July 12, both in Charlotte at American Legion Memorial Stadium. They’ll finish up their matches in Washington D.C. against England on July 19.
